Your new company A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Liverpool City Centre is seeking a motivated and ambitious Accounts Semi Senior / part qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA). The firm works with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and corporate clients across a range of sectors and is committed to supporting employee development and career progression. Your new role As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will play a key role in the preparation of financial statements and supporting clients with the following (but not limited to):
Preparing full sets of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
Producing year-end accounts from incomplete records through to final review stage.
Preparing corporation tax computations and supporting schedules.
Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
Assisting with bookkeeping and management accounts where required.
Supporting senior staff and managers with client assignments.
Providing ad hoc assistance to the audit team during peak audit periods (where applicable).
This is primarily an accounts-focused role, with audit experience being advantageous but not essential. What you'll need to succeed
Part-qualified ACA or ACCA.
Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
Strong experience preparing full sets of accounts for a range of clients.
Good working knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
Experience using cloud-based accounting software and accounts production systems.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive and client-focused approach.
Previous audit experience gained within practice.
Ability to support audit assignments during busy periods.
