Reed Accountancy are working with an established organisation located in Edinburgh, seeking a temporary Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Finance team on a short-term, rolling temporary contract. This role will see the successful candidate supporting the day-to-day processes of the purchase ledger function.

Due to the contract nature of this role, this would suit a candidate with an immediate or short notice.

Day-to-day of the role

Processing purchase invoices and credit notes daily

Managing regular supplier payment runs

Ensuring the correct details are applied to each invoice and PO

Creating and maintaining supplier accounts

Reconciling supplier accounts

Managing supplier account queries

Identifying and updating prepayments

Analysing credit card statements and cash expenses

Perform additional finance duties as and when required

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience in an accounts payable position

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Good problem-solving skills
