Accounts Manager (Management Accountant)

RG Consultancy are currently supporting an excellent business based near Warrington, who are looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to oversee the finance function in this Accounts Manager role. This is ideal for a candidate who is looking to progress their career and eventually become a Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile balances. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements. Prepare and submit VAT returns. Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as required. Produce detailed management reports to assist with strategic decision-making. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities. Monitor cash flow and support financial planning. Ensure compliance with accounting standards. policies, and procedures.

Requirements Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of UK accounting principles and legislation. Proven experience in a similar role within finance or accountancy Proficient in accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Excel. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
