About the Business

A fantastic opportunity to join a growing services business based in Coventry as an Accounts Manager. This is a key, hands-on role working closely alongside the Managing Director, giving you real influence over the finance function from day one – with the opportunity to shape and develop it as the business continues to grow. Main Duties

As an Accounts Manager, your main duties include

Taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function, utilising Xero as the core platform

Overseeing bank reconciliations, invoicing, supplier payments and the management of credit control processes

Proactively monitoring and following up on overdue balances to maintain healthy cashflow

Assessing project performance and profitability through Xero Projects, keeping a close eye on margins and trends

Examining income, expenditure and project margins to highlight areas of opportunity or concern

Preparing management reports and delivering financial commentary to support informed decision-making across the business

Contributing to cashflow forecasting, budgeting and fee forecasting activity

Playing an active role in longer-term financial planning, including input into a five-year business plan

Strengthening finance processes, reporting tools and internal controls in line with business growth

Ensuring timely and accurate financial information is available to key stakeholders throughout the business

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid, based in Coventry, with 3 days in the office and the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the week. You will be joining a friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment, with direct access to senior leadership and a genuine opportunity to be part of key decisions as the business grows.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have

Solid, hands-on experience with Xero and a thorough understanding of day-to-day finance operations

A proven background in reconciliations, invoicing, supplier payments and credit control

Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills, with a high level of attention to detail

Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in business performance

A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to work autonomously

Experience within a project-based or services business environment is advantageous
