We are working with an excellent client who has been well-established for over 40 years, and they are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their growing team.
As the Accounts Assistant, you will be managing both purchase and sales ledger functions within a fast-paced finance environment.

Key Responsibilities as the Accounts Assistant
Manage Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger functions
Process invoices, create supplier / customer accounts, and issue statements
Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations, accurately posting transactions onto accounting software
Manage credit control activities including producing aged debtor reports and chasing overdue payments
Prepare weekly supplier payment runs in various currencies including international bank payments and currency purchases
Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers while supporting the Finance Manager with reporting and ad hoc finance duties
Skills and Requirements
Strong experience as an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or similar role
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and proactive approach
Accounting qualifications such as AAT part-qualified (desirable but not essential)
Familiar with Microsoft excel and accounting software
