This is an Accounts Assistant role right in the centre of Bury, so if you're local, you've got the tram practically on your doorstep and none of the usual nightmare commute.

We've just placed their new Finance Manager, who starts end of the month; and you'll be working closely with him and the FD - both of whom are brilliant, easy-going and genuinely nice people to work with.

The role itself is nice and varied, covering both sides of the ledger, and they're at an interesting point in the finance function. The new Finance Manager has been brought in specifically to make processes slicker, introduce some improvements and get things working as they should.

So, full transparency - it's not perfect yet.

There will be things where you'll probably think "I'd do that differently" and processes that need tightening up. But that's actually the exciting bit. If you're someone who can cope with a bit of imperfection while things are being sorted, you'll work brilliantly here.

And this isn't necessarily for someone desperate to climb the career ladder. In fact, it's probably better suited to someone who's had the progression, has plenty of experience under their belt and now wants a fulfilling role where they can go in, do a great job, work with good people and go home.

For full transparency, to achieve the £35,000 salary, you'll need to have experience in month-end close and be able to add value beyond transactional accounting.

Role is office based 5 days a week so you must be happy being in and around the team as opposed to WFH!
