Your new role You will take ownership of day-to-day sales ledger activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining excellent service levels for internal and external stakeholders.Working closely with the Sales Ledger Team Leader, you'll play a key role in maintaining financial controls, resolving queries and identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Manage sales ledger transactions, ensuring accurate allocation and reconciliation of receipts.
Support accounts receivable processes and ensure payments are processed in line with customer agreements.
Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and outstanding issues.
Act as a key point of contact for customer and stakeholder queries.
Maintain accurate financial records and data across finance systems.
Assist with month-end activities and reporting requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Provide cover and deputise for the Team Leader when required.
Build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience within a Sales Ledger or Accounts Receivable environment.
Experience processing high volumes of financial transactions accurately.
Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience using computerised accounting systems.
Strong communication skills with the confidence to manage stakeholder queries by phone, email and virtual meetings.
Experience using databases and maintaining accurate financial records.
AAT qualified, studying towards AAT, or willing to work towards an accounting qualification would be advantageous.
