About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Accounting Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is a temporary opportunity offering flexibility and the chance to make a real impact on learners studying Accounting across a variety of programmes and levels.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and professional standards while helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Accounting lessons.
Teach Accounting to learners across a range of levels and abilities.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress.
Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners.
Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support learners in developing practical accounting knowledge and industry-relevant skills.
Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression.
Requirements
Relevant degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, AAT, or a related subject.
Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
Experience teaching Accounting within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for accounting and finance education.
Professional accounting qualifications (such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) are desirable.
