Accountant (6-Month Contract) Central London - Soho/Bloomsbury (100% office-based) The Opportunity We are working with a leading international real estate and infrastructure business at the forefront of healthcare and residential assets. With a strong presence across the UK, US and Europe, the firm offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment and the opportunity to work on high-profile partnerships.
They are currently seeking an Accountant to join their London team on an initial 6-month contract, supporting financial reporting and partnership accounting activities. There is a good chance this could turn into a permanent role in the long-term.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the flow of financial information between UK-based partners/operators and internal stakeholders
Perform monthly financial uploads and reconcile operator submissions
Prepare supporting workpapers and carry out internal control procedures
Consolidate financial data for reporting and performance analysis
Produce accurate partnership financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards
Calculate and process monthly partner distributions
Assist with tax-related data preparation and compliance
Support audit processes and respond to auditor queries
Year end financial reporting (UK GAAP, IFRS)
Review financial submissions and investigate variances or anomalies
Requirements
1-4 years' experience in accounting, audit, or finance (practice or industry)
ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or equivalent but would also like to invite applications from candidates that are QBE or part-qualified
Strong understanding of financial statements and controls from a Real Estate background
Strong UK GAAP experience (IFRS / US GAAP exposure beneficial)
Working knowledge of Yardi and intermediate to advanced Excel skills would be a distinct advantage
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-functional environment
Additional Information
This role is fully office-based in Central London
Immediate or short notice candidates preferred (1 month maximum)
