Accountant Location: Birmingham Salary: £40,000 (DOE) Pro-rated Job Type: Permanent (30hrs Per Week)

We are recruiting for an Accountant to join a growing and dynamic accountancy practice. This role is ideally suited to an accounting professional with accounts preparation experience and a solid background in Corporation Tax and Self-Assessment Tax Returns within a UK accountancy practice environment.

Key Responsibilities Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Preparation and submission of VAT returns. Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns. Preparation of self-assessment tax returns for individuals and directors. Assisting clients with bookkeeping queries and accounting software. Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and support on accounting and tax matters. Reviewing financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements AAT, ACA, ACCA, part/qualified or qualified by experience. Proven experience preparing Corporation Tax Returns and Self-Assessments. Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations. Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar. Excellent communication and client-facing skills. Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
