Accountant

Adele Carr Recruitment - Interim Accountant Location: Birkenhead

You will be working closely with the Finance lead and supporting the Finance team, you will take responsibility for key month-end activities, improve processes, and provide additional support across the finance function.

Preference would be someone available full time in the office, although candidates available 3-4 days per week will be considered.

Key responsibilities include

Supporting month-end close activities

Posting journals and ensuring accurate financial records

Managing banking processes and reconciliations

Supporting cash flow reporting and forecasting

Processing monthly payroll for approximately 120 salaried employees

Managing payroll adjustments including overtime, bonuses and other changes

Reviewing and improving existing finance processes

Supporting the team with system improvements and automation

About you

SME finance/accounting background is essential

Previous experience working in a similar role

Confident managing month-end processes independently

Good payroll knowledge and experience in SAGE Payroll

Strong working knowledge of SAGE is required
