The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, sales focused individual to join our award winning retail team. This newly created role of Account Manager, Strategic Partnerships is responsible for managing and growing our full portfolio of land-only trade partners, developing existing relationships while identifying, onboarding and scaling new ones. Reporting to the Head of Trade & Partnerships, you'll champion a fast-growing and strategically important part of our future growth plans, cementing our commitment to the trade. Through proactive, relationship-led and commercially focused account management, you'll help partners grow sales, strengthen loyalty and unlock shared commercial opportunities, positioning Newmarket Holidays as a trusted partner of choice within the trade. The role also carries responsibility for working with internal teams to ensure product scale and capacity meet our targets, managing the existing portfolio and yield while developing new ideas through market analysis and partner feedback.
What I do
• Manage and grow the full portfolio of land-only trade accounts, acting as the primary point of contact
• Develop the land-only channel by identifying, presenting and onboarding new partnerships to scale revenues and grow the portfolio
• Drive sales growth by increasing active accounts, repeat bookings and average booking value across the tour-only channel
• Build strong, trusted relationships with land-only partners through regular engagement and targeted in-person activity
• Deliver tailored training, webinars and one-to-one support to improve product knowledge, confidence and conversion
• Work closely with Product, Yield and Inventory teams to develop the portfolio and ensure strong margin return and inventory depth
• Support loyalty and recognition initiatives to retain and grow partner engagement
• Attend trade events, conferences and FAM trips across all trade activity
• Work with the Escalation team to resolve issues with a balanced commercial and customer-focused approach
Who I am
• Experience within the travel industry, ideally in trade sales, account management or business development
• A track record of growing an account base through proactive new business development
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with a sales-driven, commercially aware mindset
• Confident delivering training and engaging partners, virtually or in person
• Organised, proactive and data-driven in your decision making
• A collaborative team player with a strong customer-first approach
