Account Development Executive - SaaS

Manchester | Hybrid £35,000 basic + £16,000 OTE | Uncapped Commission

We're partnering with one of the UK and Europe's leading SaaS businesses, who support businesses with technology that makes essential day-to-day processes simpler, more efficient and compliant.

As part of continued growth, they're looking for ambitious Account Development Executives to join their Manchester sales team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong sales background who wants to move into the SaaS/technology industry. Previous tech sales experience isn't essential, you'll receive extensive product and sales training to give you the knowledge and confidence to succeed. The Role This isn't purely a cold new-business role.

You'll work with an existing customer base, developing strong relationships, understanding how customers are using the company's products and identifying opportunities to introduce additional solutions and services.

You'll have responsibility for driving revenue through cross-selling and upselling, while helping maintain strong customer relationships ahead of renewal.

You'll also generate pipeline through proactive outreach, respond to inbound opportunities and work closely with Marketing on campaigns and events.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include

Managing and developing relationships across an existing customer portfolio.

Identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across a wider suite of software products and services.

Speaking with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.

Running product conversations and demonstrations.

Proactively contacting customers and prospects to generate new opportunities.

Developing and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.

Managing inbound sales enquiries.

Working towards individual revenue targets and KPIs.

Building relationships with key customer stakeholders.

Supporting customers ahead of renewal and helping maximise account retention.

Working collaboratively with Marketing on campaigns and customer engagement.

Supporting customer events and wider commercial initiatives.

Maintaining accurate customer and opportunity information within the CRM.

The role is centred around proactive relationship building, pipeline generation and identifying opportunities to expand customer accounts. What We're Looking For You don't need previous SaaS or technology sales experience to be considered.

The business is much more interested in finding ambitious, commercially minded people who know how to sell, enjoy speaking with customers and want to develop their career within the technology sector.

Ideally, you'll have

At least 1 year of closing/sales experience, whether that's B2B or B2C.

Experience working towards and achieving sales targets and KPIs.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Confidence speaking with customers and identifying commercial opportunities.

A proactive approach to sales and pipeline development.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

A competitive, target-driven mindset.

The ability to work effectively as part of a wider sales team.

Previous B2B, 360 sales, account management, business development or SaaS experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

The existing brief specifically asks for end-to-end sales experience, with B2B preferred rather than mandatory. Earnings & Training Alongside a £35,000 basic salary, you'll have the opportunity to earn around £16,000 OTE, with commission uncapped.

Targets are designed to be realistic and achievable, and you'll also receive £1,333 guaranteed commission during your first month while completing your initial training.

You'll receive extensive sales and product training, making this a particularly good opportunity for someone who's already proven they can sell but wants to break into the SaaS/technology market. Culture & Incentives There's a strong sales culture with plenty of recognition for high performance.

Alongside commission, the team regularly runs incentives and rewards, including team days out, international trips, event tickets and larger prizes - with previous incentives including a trip to Las Vegas and an electric MINI.

The wider benefits package includes generous holiday allowance, private healthcare, life assurance, income protection, volunteering days, an Employee Assistance Programme, discount schemes and a cycle-to-work scheme.

If you're an ambitious salesperson looking for strong earning potential, structured training and an opportunity to build a career within SaaS, we'd love to hear from you.
