Job Description

Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Iberia Hunter team is responsible for winning net-new business across Iberia. We focus on bringing Stripe's products to high-potential businesses that aren't yet Stripe customers. We move with urgency, operate with focus, and pride ourselves on delivering strong commercial results through disciplined outbound execution and high-quality customer engagement.

What you'll do

As a Hunter Account Executive, you'll win net-new business across the Portuguese market—building Stripe's presence with high-potential companies that have yet to adopt our platform. You'll execute long-term sales strategies, engage internal and external stakeholders, align on technical and business requirements, build value in competitive situations, and lead commercial negotiations to close.

Responsibilities

Win new business with high-growth technology companies and traditional enterprises across Portugal.

Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, partnering with cross-functional teams including SDR, Product Sales, Solutions Engineering, Risk, and Legal.

Develop outbound strategies to build and nurture pipeline.

Drive deal strategy and lead commercial negotiations for large, complex new business opportunities.

Lead account mapping and coordinate effective meetings with the right stakeholders to advance and close opportunities.

Collaborate with the Regional Partnerships team to drive brand awareness and generate pipeline.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

6+ years of sales experience, preferably selling a technical product to enterprise customers, with a proven track record of top performance in the Portuguese market.

Ability to understand technical requirements and craft solutions across multiple products.

Ability to develop and execute account plans spanning multiple business units across complex organisations.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Strong presentation skills, particularly for in-person meetings with multiple stakeholders.

Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements.

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Genuine interest in technology and a solid understanding of the payments and fintech landscape.

Native or professional proficiency in Portuguese and English.

Based in Madrid, Spain (relocation support available).

Preferred qualifications

Previous experience in payments or fintech sales.

Background in a growth-stage internet or software company.
