Linux Engineer - Cititec Talent Ltd

A global financial services organisation is seeking a Linux / SRE Engineer to join a high-performing infrastructure support team responsible for maintaining critical production platforms and services.

The role will focus on Linux systems support, incident management, platform reliability, and operational improvement across enterprise environments. You will work closely with infrastructure and engineering teams to troubleshoot production issues, improve system stability, and support automation and monitoring initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Support and troubleshoot Linux production environments

Investigate and resolve platform and infrastructure incidents

Monitor system health, stability, and performance

Work closely with engineering teams to drive incident resolution

Contribute to automation and operational improvement initiatives

Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks

Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities

Required Skills

Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience

Production support or infrastructure support background

Experience managing incidents within enterprise environments

Good understanding of systems, networking, and platform operations

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Scripting or automation experience (Bash, Python, or similar)

Desirable Skills

Exposure to SRE principles and operational best practices

Experience with virtualization or container platforms

Knowledge of automation and infrastructure tooling

Cloud or hybrid infrastructure exposure
