Job Description
Field Sales Executive — Catering Supplies | Hospitality Trade
Northwest | £26,000 – 32,000 basic | OTE £45,000 Year 1 | Uncapped thereafter | Liverpool Base
Nobody's going to hand you this one.
There's no territory manager softening the ground. No marketing team dropping leads in your lap. No established brand doing half the work before you've even knocked.
What there is: a brilliant product, a hungry business, and a patch full of restaurants, cafés, and hospitality operators who need what we sell — they just don't know it yet.
That's where you come in.
Who we are
We're &serve — a specialist hospitality fit-out company that builds restaurants, hotels, nightclubs and coffee shops across the UK. We know this sector inside out.
We're now launching a dedicated catering supplies arm of the business, supplying smallwares — crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen kit — at trade pricing with next-day delivery. It grew naturally out of the supply chain we already had in place for fit-out projects, and now it's ready to be its own thing.
The infrastructure is in place. The pricing is competitive. The website's live.
We just need someone to go out and drive it.
The role
This is field sales. Real field sales. Boots on the ground, walking into venues, building relationships with the people who run them.
You'll own the full cycle: generate your own leads, get in front of decision-makers, bring home the orders. There's no handoff, no committee, no waiting for someone else to qualify a lead you could have qualified yourself.
The role is Northwest-focused initially, with a warm CRM of around 400 existing contacts to support early conversations — but make no mistake, this is about building something new, not harvesting something old.
KPIs in the first three months are activity-based: meetings, touchpoints, quotes. Revenue targets kick in once you've found your rhythm. After that, the ceiling is yours to set.
Year 3 looks very different from Year 1. We're growing — new acquisitions, new verticals, national expansion planned. Get in now and grow with us.
What we're looking for
You've sold B2B before. You know that no doesn't mean never, and that the second visit often beats the first. You don't need a warm lead to pick up the phone or walk through a door.
Industry background is a bonus, not a requirement. If you can walk into a room full of strangers and walk out with a meeting, we can teach you the rest.
You are not the person who's built a comfortable book over ten years and is coasting on it. You're not waiting to be told what to do next. You want the responsibility — and the reward that comes with it.
What matters most
Natural communicator — people like you when they meet you
Resilient — you treat rejection as data, not defeat
Self-sufficient — you find a way, not an excuse
Ambitious — you want to build something you can be proud of
Full UK driving licence
The package
Basic salary: £26,000–£32,000 depending on experience
OTE Year 1: £45,000
OTE progression: +£7,000–£7,500 per year
Commission structure: activity-based KPIs first, then uncapped revenue commission
Expenses, laptop and phone provided
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Probation: 6 months
No degree required
A word on what this isn't
If you want a polished onboarding programme, a sales support team, and a list of warm accounts to manage — this isn't it.
If you want to own a territory from day one, build something real, and be rewarded properly when you do — read on.
How to apply
Send your CV with a short note on what field sales role you're proudest of, and why.
No cover letters. No fluff. Just what you've sold, who you sold it to, and what happened.
A small, well-funded team doing serious work in a sector we know inside out. Come and be part of it.
