We're partnering with a successful and growing organisation within the UK utilities and energy sector that is known for its customer-first approach, innovative solutions, and outstanding reputation in the marketplace. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an ambitious Account Manager to join their team in Salford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing multiple accounts, and becoming a trusted advisor to businesses across a diverse range of sectors.
The Opportunity As an Account Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of commercial clients, acting as their primary point of contact and ensuring they receive a first-class service at every stage of their journey. You'll work closely with clients to understand their requirements, support contract renewals, provide valuable insights through data analysis, and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This role offers the perfect blend of relationship management, problem-solving, commercial awareness, and strategic account development.
What You'll Be Doing Managing and developing a portfolio of commercial client accounts Building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders Analysing consumption and performance data to provide meaningful client insights Coordinating contract renewals and supporting procurement activities Producing reports, presentations, and account reviews Identifying opportunities to enhance client value through additional services and solutions Investigating and resolving account queries, billing issues, and service concerns Supporting client retention, satisfaction, and growth objectives Keeping clients informed of market developments, regulatory updates, and industry best practices Collaborating with internal departments to ensure exceptional service delivery Monitoring account performance and maintaining accurate records through CRM systems
What We're Looking For We're interested in speaking with motivated, customer-focused professionals who enjoy building relationships and delivering results. You'll ideally have: Experience within Account Management, Customer Success, Client Services, Relationship Management, or a similar client-facing role Experience working within a B2B environment Utilities, energy, facilities management, consultancy, or related sector experience would be highly advantageous Strong communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to explain technical or complex information in a clear and engaging way Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Experience using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and digital reporting tools A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
